Jonathon Agee Poems

I want you,
and yet,
I can not have you.
...

I can not be cruel,
not to you at least.

You are my one,
...

3.

O' how i adore thee,
you look so free.

I want to be...
...

You tell only lies.

I tell only truth;
You fear such truth.
...

That confined space,
Be fitting for one's pet.
Why am I here?
I belong to no one,
...

How could I say no to you?

Can't you see that I love you,
too much?
...

Because this place is a lie,
no more than a delusion,
a dream,
a child's fantasy.
...

You must go on your own.

I can not leave this place,
for I will surely perish,
...

If i should die,
before i could tell you,
Then He will tell you.
...

I do not know,
Nor can I answer.

For I do not know myself enough,
...

Come with me.

I don't want to lose you again.

Forbidden Love: Proclaimed Sadness (1)

I want you,
and yet,
I can not have you.

Why must I tear my soul,
every last fiber of my being,
over something,
I can not have?

Why must this be so?
