Black And White

In the land of black and white
Where everyting is and is not,
Where opinions don’t count
And being is not allowed.

Friends? All gone.
Left me here alone.
Because my thoughts were too gruelling
Or because my dissemblances were wrong.

I used to dream of the red trees
and the green sky
But they say there are only two colours…
Somebody tell me why…

Why has the sky to be white?
Why has water to be black?
And why has the lake’s shack to be darker or whiter?
When it could be blue, green or even uncoloured?
Why has everything to be like they want?

I’ve grown. I now think for myself
I start to see other colours
So many more than those they see
Or at least those
They allow me.

Why does their stubbornness,
Their inaptitude to cross the social laws
And the unability to accept new things?
Why does this makes them fear who doesn’t?
How can they live with such senseless lives?
And yet they don’t want to be more than just all the same…

I know… They think I’m crazy
But in my mindful distraction
I see… I see sky is yellow,
Trees are blue
And water is red.

And because I can see more
I find the fear of man on its roar
Running to hunt the one who knew more
In this land of ignorance
In this land of Black and White.
