You Ashamed Me

A truth I told
And the years to unfold,
Near a time to speak
Its high being weak,
Stood as a white wall
Just in eighteen not so small,
sick of crying and weeping
when they were sound sleeping,
sold as a fish to a man on chair
dragged off by my hair,
now you are mine, he said
cutting my wrist I wished to be dead,
Like a puppet to him
struggled at each limb,
Years of grief passing by
nothing left but to cry,
Finally escaped the wounds and hate
tiring off all the tapes,
the pain drew less and less
And grew in me like a mess,
searching here searching there
my life was no more left to share,
In hopes of arms on way
Instead found no place to stay,
left with no respect for self
no gift to place on the shelf,
A dream I saw to be a kite
and took it all away in a night,
Having a bitter pie
living life near a lie,
Trying to stand some times
But laid to past in crimes,
Still I raise a voice
Its on me to end or make a choice,
then I found the blame was free
And it was you who ashamed me.
