Satiated

Teetering here
Upon the brink
Of lofty self-delusion

“Silence is hovering above the Atlantic.”
he tells her.
“Hush...hush darling! ” he tries to
calm her.

Soulmates, we
a melding of two
Never physically to know
This whole life through

The starkness of white upon the green
The paper is crisp. Crisp and clean
A rustle of wind- a flutter of pages
Words written down- never to be seen
