I woke to a brand new day.
A future so real, a love so true,
was only a kiss away.

Like the river mist, when the dawn sun rises..
I wake and you're with me.
You take me thro each hour of the day...
but no-one else can see.

Although you are a friend of mine
and letters we exchange,
I wouldn't know you on the street,
and doesn't that seem strange?

When the one you love, is far from you, your heart yearns to be near....
To know the one, has a warm embrace, from the parents to them so dear.
I thank you both, from deep within, for looking after my love....
to know he's safe, loved n warm, like a hand to a glove.

Silent tears I cry, for no-one else must see,
this hurt & pain inside, that's slowly killing me.
I feel I've lost so much, that made me feel complete,
there is no other match, my heart would rather meet.
