A remarkable woman

A woman whose heart beats with Islamic
rhythms from the desert lands on the Nile

A woman dressed in shades of purple,
Holding a mighty sword,
Her breastplate adorned with
Diamonds and tiger's eye
Reflect her almond-esque eyes
Protecting her son
A rare beauty
Inside and out

I know a woman
A remarkable woman

A woman who dances with Rumi
And has love affairs with words
That lead to pure perfection

masses of emotionless automons
going through the motions of life
wearing constricting concrete masks,
a magnificent facade that they exhibit
with enflamed egos but secretly hide behind,
chipping slowly away with a blunt chisel
fine grey dust falls to the pavement
