My Silent Love Story!

One day when I was sitting alone
Remembering my days that had long gone
Haven't I ever fallen in love I asked the other me
And closed my eyes to examine whom I would see.

First came a girl with a beautiful glow
While I was sitting in a school bus by the window
She bartered my nearby seat with a smile
And I wished the route were longer than the Nile.

After that day, I used to keep my bag on the adjacent seat
So no one would occupy it and disturb our meet
The bag used to shift to my lap I didn't know how
Her smile used to make my hands involuntary I deciphered that now.

We never spoke to each other but smiles were always shared
Even 'Hi, how are you' was not heard cos we never dared
Actually that was not necessary for her smile told everything was fine
And I guess the same job was done by that of mine.

What she actually adored whether it was the seat or me
Thought I and so decided to test it and see
And the next day I took a different seat
Beside me she sat again after the usual greet.

Shyly I smirked and opened my eyes
And suddenly started missing her tacit HI's
I still remember her small eyes beneath her specs
And her beautiful long hair worn in French plaits.

This was about me when I was in grade nine
And still I beseech everything about her is better and fine
If I could go back to past and meet her again
I would break my silence just to ask her sweet name.

If someday again I happen to sit alone
And remember my days that had long gone
Aren't there any more memories I'll ask the other me
And will close my eyes to examine who's the next I'd see
And will close my eyes to examine who's the next I'd see...........
