Juxtaposition

The pages flapped in his mind
With glimpses of ‘The Ancient Mariner’
The Mariner deserted even by death
Wailed alone in the sea of nothingness
Salt splintered the throats
Weakening the water to quench desires
The water visible everywhere
Is never enough to fill the bucket of desires
Growing taller than its host

Everything began with fire sparks
That powered the wheel of time
The fastest wheel went round and round
Old to new, new to old and old to new
He sacrificed his eyes to the births of new
He lost vision about loses of old

He dug into his burrow
To lift up the glitters below
He battered his houses
Into huge planks and papers
Burnt to weigh the air
That heated the waters with anger
They showed fury up on the lands
Laying forgotten under ‘busy’ bands

Colour and taste in him faded
To colour air and to flavor water
To breathe meant death
To drink meant death
Against death fought wealth
But wealth misplaced the recipe
To recreate the ‘five’ ingredients of ‘him’

He changed, changed beyond his dreams
He laughed as victory rose
From brethren’s freezing pleads
He kept those skeletons in his cupboards
To build an empire for ‘Himself’

The empire rose and rose
Its foundation cracked under pressure
He is trained to look up
Thus downward display blurred

One day he woke up
The dream shimmered away
Loneliness cuddled him and said
‘Your gain is the loss’
