Kora Clarke Poems

Grounded to the back seat of my life, failing to seize the moment and free my self from this prison, I am at the mercy of my captor.
Not a knight by any call, only an opportunist.

Shredding me of my clothes of pride, relieving me of my heart, he in turn plays the optimist and seizes what is good for him from this situation.

Release Me

Grounded to the back seat of my life, failing to seize the moment and free my self from this prison, I am at the mercy of my captor.
Not a knight by any call, only an opportunist.

Shredding me of my clothes of pride, relieving me of my heart, he in turn plays the optimist and seizes what is good for him from this situation.

Consenting as it may appear, Its an Injustice by my terms.
A cruel crime that should imprison this villain, though important he may feel. Untouchable in his eyes, Intelligent by his peers and superiors. He coils and recoils those inferior to him and so here I am captive.

Human nature for dominant to gravitate toward weakling, yes. He uses what he thinks is charisma and leads them all awry. a las, they dont see it.And here I am wanting a way out. A way out of the pain that will cause more pain. A way out of the hatred that often times consume me. A way out.

Mischieviously he had me going. Believing though he promised nothing. Hoping though he gave not a hint of the future. Bondaged now I want a way out. Release me lest I die from a hidden lie. Die from a guilty mind and an eventual unfeeling heart. Though my heart has tied me to you. Release Me.
