Kori Anderson Poems

The days grow colder now, the wind nips at my brow.
I grow weary in the night longing for you to hold me tight.
The sun rises and sets much earlier now as my thoughts wander to you.
I wonder my love, where you are. I hope your still wishing on shooting stars. I hope you never lose your faith that the sun will rise again.
...

I'll tell you of my secret confessions,
Of all my lies and imperfections.
I'll tell you of all the love to display,
For the hungry soul has much to say.

The Sun Will Rise Again

The days grow colder now, the wind nips at my brow.
I grow weary in the night longing for you to hold me tight.
The sun rises and sets much earlier now as my thoughts wander to you.
I wonder my love, where you are. I hope your still wishing on shooting stars. I hope you never lose your faith that the sun will rise again.

Fate has left us far apart. The hole you left grows much bigger in my heart. But still the sun will rise again.

I loved you with a passion that could set the sky on fire. But soon discovered, I was not the one you desired. The shadows of a lonely bitterness close in all around me as the sun sets, but I know something you do not.
The mountains will crumble, the seas will part, the birds will fly through the blue sky, and the sun will rise again tomorrow. Worry not for me in sorrow, for I will rise at a new day tomorrow.
