I was born at a village in Laikipia called Kiambogo. I grew up there for five years after which we moved to Cherangany in Trans-Nzoia County. I started my first grade schooling there in the year 1996. I was a very poor student then. I paid no attention in class and usually ended being the last.

I Will Live

I will live. Yes. I will.
I will rise. Yes.
I'm not new to the pangs of life.
I recuperated from it's venom
I flipped, but only my knee touched the ground
I rose, vividly fathomed what life held
Embraced it with a grin
With the light of my father's words
My arsenal and drive.

I am down now, I rose before
What makes you think today I won't?
I will live. Yes. I will.
