For signs of her future
What will she become?

What does she wait for?
Sitting by her window
The sun always sets
Though her chin rests

Words move me
To tears and laughter
To places undiscovered
To emotions left alone

Let's run to the river
Where the grass grows tall
And the crickets chirp happily
I'll hold your hand

They're floating silently
Into No Man's Land
Hand grenades and lolliepops
Heart attacks and nightmares

Rain clouds brew in the distance
The thunder signals war
My heart knows the danger
But my mind is unaware
