To take tempting shortcuts,
Around those obstacles I did not want to face.

Those afraid to admit their wrongs...
To protect deepening mental insecurities,
Have done to themselves much injustice.
And it is with frustrations...

If you want more of this,
There's no need to lick the pot.
I've got it...
To give.

Those who use tired and old tactics,
To build up defenses...
With others sympathetic to their pretenses,
Run into the same brick walls.

Why should I let you sleep...
When,
I can't get a wink.
And,

You do nothing at all,
But want to get paid.
And this you insist!

To you,
This may come as a shock.
But to me,
This has never been a surprise.
