Illicit solicitations.
Visits to illuminate,
One with unrelenting narcissistic visions.
Obsessed with self serving gratification.

Fixed eyes.
Tunnel visioned.
Blindsided.
To what is left to be right.

Broad are their smiles.
Predicted are their quips to mimic.
Picked to puppet dummies strung.
From strings that are pulled.

Once free and easily accessible.
An honesty.
That has become a rarity to behold.
Too quick today it is to malign.
...

Staying proactive.
Prepared and ready on a daily basis.
Requires desire, discipline and initiative.
Some await until it is too late.

It does not matter to them,
Who it is that achieves the win.
One's color of skin,
Is forgiven only then.

Many seem comfortable to only know,
Limitations to accept.
As if to feel threatened,
By what others may say.

You stay the believer.
Even when you fall asleep.
With faith to keep.

I know you're better than that.
To be in decided divisions that split.
Just to be with others who want to do this.
