I saw with the eyes of a Child
The walls of separation; of Pride and Hatred
I asked a Loving Father: Should I but love my own

Shadow passing, side by side
Night-time dreamers kiss the sky
The moon half hidden by the clouds
Casts a shadow on the ground

Sometimes I wonder
If I am the only one
To shudder at dismissal
Or grow warm at your touch

I have seen the seasons
Swim past my window pane
I swear they have forgotten
The laughter and the smiles
