Walking somewhere I not know where
I stop and look all I see is darkness there
I take a step back
Look all around but alas no one is there I am alone
...
A Walk In The Dark
Walking somewhere I not know where
I stop and look all I see is darkness there
I take a step back
Look all around but alas no one is there I am alone
With a start I run my feet hit the ground with a thud
Run back to the life I have left behind
Like a dog who was once lost but has been found
Images intertwine inside my mind
I'm almost home I think to myself
Soon I picture that empty shelf
Our portraits used to be sitting there
On that shelf showing you the shell of my old self
The pictures they tell lies
Telling stories only I know the truth to
It's funny isn't it how we can look so happy
But the next minute it's the real us the lonely and unhappy us
