Sugar Rush

Feel like a child in a candy store
Mom says I can't have more
All looks so lovely so colorful so tasty
Pink blue starry shaped some skew

Mom says to much of good is bad
But candy is delicious, she seems mad
Feel like a child in a candy store
Mom says I can't have more

Tingling feeling over my skin
Warmth and goose bumps
I just cant win

Dreaming all night
Sweating all day
Needing my sugar
What does mom say?

Much of a good thing is so bad
Your heart will start pounding
You'll end up sad

Feel like a child in a candy ...

I Care Myself To Rest

I cry myself to sleep wondering if caring is the only way to be me

If I really have to give it all to receive nothing at most and brokenness at least

I cry myself to sleep feeling the pain of a hand that grips my heart pressing from all sides

Squeezing, smothering

I cry myself to sleep
