Lisa Grove Poems

They took my dignity
I was left ashamed
Fool I was, so stupid
I had been betrayed
...

Cartwheels, windmills
The curtains open
The wind blows through
Sky as blue as Lapis
...

Bizarre walls of dread stain my apathy
where once there was a bright wish
Light fades dimly through unconciousness
stretching towards the glimmer
...

Just Pass My Blessings To Your Friend

They took my dignity
I was left ashamed
Fool I was, so stupid
I had been betrayed

I understand they had to
I realise the cause
My hurt, downfall, deception
Went on behind closed doors

Don't tell him my reason has come to an end
Just pass my bessings to your friend

The lies were spun to save me
They were out of control
Blame is beyond question
I'm broken, one part of one whole

Don't tell him my life now has come to an end
Just pass my blessings to your friend

We were wrong in every way
Ropes tied that rubbed so sore
Pain with every bend and pull
Untied now for evermore

Don't tell him my feelings have come to an end
Just pass my blessings to your friend

Forward facing I sit now, waiting
The emptiness needs to be filled
It aches, makes me restless
Those feelings are finally killed

Don't tell him my sadness has come to end
Just pass my blessings to your friend
Don't tell him my life is beginning again
Just pass my farewells to your friend
