Is there anything really there
That wasn’t there before
If so guide me there and show me

So many lives we wish to live
Yet forced to live our own
Because what is a soul without any purpose?
Just a spirit left to wallow and roam?

I walk through the dawn
Onto the day
The light shines around me
The warmth fills my body

When at dawn were all just pawns
Who toil until the evening
Who use every last bit of brawn
To have the skeptics believing

In a shallow brook
That’s full of leaves.
We read our books
While nature grieves.

Winter nights & summer days
A frozen meadow with shallow graves
I sit and grieve on this leather weave
For the great love that once was
