Luciel Dawning Poems

She sat on her burning birthday cake,
Realising that some things do change.
She cries out an ocean, a river, a lake
Drowning everything within her range...
...

It's almost as if the feather stopped turning.
The point hit the mark
Of a pitiful love,
Not decency.
...

While some forgotten ashes scatter,
I become no more than a sick lump,
Coughing up smoke,
Breaking into a chain of misery;
...

In a town of senseless homes
Where she first wrote the story of a lifetime
His sobriquet laid between two Golden Dancers
Underneath a roof of black.
...

The sweetest flames die like angels.
What I once possessed
Is now turned to delinquency.
Swifter now, it falls
...

Your storm came
Then left, with the ships chasing after it
What seemed like normal chatter
Suddenly became violent bickering in your ears
...

Goodbye baby.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
The words feel sour.
...

Luciel Dawning Biography

I'm too young to live. I'm not mature enough to understand the ups and downs of life. I'm not sincere enough to give genuine praise. I'm not smart enough to read my physics textbook. I'm not talented enough to put accuracy on paper. I'm not pretty enough to light up your room. I'm not rich enough to wear diamonds. I'm not brave enough to fight a spider alone. I'm not fast enough to outrun time. (But luckily I'm willing to try.))

Growing Up

She sat on her burning birthday cake,
Realising that some things do change.
She cries out an ocean, a river, a lake
Drowning everything within her range...
Boys don't love, maybe they can't love;
The sloppiest kiss might just be an excuse.
If the slightest hurt bleeds the bitterest blood,
Then a lifetime is but a would-be abuse!
So what if it's hard growing up alone?
Isolation matches fear, fear matches her.
Candies and sweets can't always heal the wound;
And wounds only heal to be torn open later.
