Down the lonely halls, I wander,
Afraid to stop, afraid to ponder,
Four doors, at the end of the hallway loomed,
Shouting my fate, I was to be doomed.

Down on my knees
I rip at my heart
my life blood I see
Drips on the hearth

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Here is a prayer,
Just for you,

I and the one you dreamt of that night

Although you’ll never know me
My heart, my cry, my love, my fright,

My memories in the past,

Four Doors

Down the lonely halls, I wander,
Afraid to stop, afraid to ponder,
Four doors, at the end of the hallway loomed,
Shouting my fate, I was to be doomed.
Which door to enter, I moved on ahead,
Which door to enter, would leave me dead?
Upon the first, engraved in stone,
Was a lonely girl, who sat there alone,
Upon the second, OH! How it shone!
Stood an upright Manor, engraved in stone,
Upon the third, spider webs crept out,
From that door came the loudest shout!
And upon the Fourth, the final door,
A corpse was spread-eagle, dead and life-less, upon the floor,
Which door I wonder, which door indeed?
Would carry me off, alone and dead?
The first looked loneliest of all,
If I helped the poor girl, would I fall?
The second of which, that shone in splendor,
Looked like the one, only life-filled door,
The third full of frightful things,
Loomed on its hinges, dark and foreboding,
And the fourth and final door, dead and life-less,
I knew that this door was not for me, or so I would guess.
I looked at the others, long and hard, pondering,
And finally chose the third door, the one which was foreboding.
And to my great joy, as I had thought would work,
I woke up from that nightmare with a jerk,
For while pondering, I’d chosen the scariest one,
And it left me alive, and now it was done.
Never again have I had this dream,
But I’ve had worse, ones that have made me scream,
These dreams I will share with you, shortly.
But for now I will end, because they are, another story……..
