Beyond the fog which so clouds my vision,
I know you wait
-wait for me to walk through the fog
of my own darkness and confusion...

My hope is like acid:
it makes life an illusion,
a quilt of tortured grit
sprawled across destiny's table.

Why must I want you
when you've no desire for me?
Why do you insist upon keeping my heart
instead of letting me go free?

I close my eyes and search,
but I can't find your smile.

It pains me deeply,

I wish I could just find the words
to say what I want to say.
Everything would be simpler
if my life wasn't in constant disarray.

Lightning flashes behind closed eyes
A numbness settles on the soul within
As though my spirit has taken up residence
Within my mind alone,
...

Such noise, a cacophony of roaring, senseless sound...
It chases me away to my hiding place.

I sit under a willow
...

Light Coming through the window
Outside myself looking in
Yet inside myself looking out,
A strange feeling of duality
...

Simple sounds
resonate,

their vibrance
...

I close my eyes
And, to you,
I sing my heart.
