one spoke kindly, one spoke madly

a wacky and whimsical dragon for sure
as playful and kind as a dragon could be

moving mouths and fleeting feelings
falling faintly to the floor
not a whisper, nor a whisper
has broken such silence before
...

'Perched' might seem a fitting word
content amidst the rolling blankets
wonder or deep contemplation
I swear I see it in those eyes
...

Everyone's a mad man, no one's really here at all
if anyone would stop and listen, I don't think they'd wanna stick around
there's a devious joker with a wild and painted face
a grin that'd be haunting if it wasn't so plain
