Rest In Peace

I woke up with the dawn,
To relish the reddish crown.
Sumptuous was the glimming arc,
Voluptuous was the pluming dome.
Viewed the mother waking slow,
To the virtues ever promising.
Bowed to falling ethereal gay,
As dewdrops from unknown sway.
Then made an assail sharp,
Subdued my mirth in deep.
Seagulls did hide in fright,
Cursing their doomy plight.
Heard the wolves howling west,
Sinking liquid tone of morn.
Sounded the roaring war cry,
'Dollarise or die.'
Swept a fiery tempest over fast,
Fluttering flags of fifty stars.
Stopped thrushes chirping sweet,
As if sighting an omen bad.
I mused whining long,
With a heart panic-stricken.
Longing for the sleep eternal,
For the wholesome rest in peace.
