Marcene Lloyd Poems

In golden umber attire,
soldier leaves, torn from their posts,
respond to the clarion
call of the Autumn tempest.
...

Flocks of sparrows swirl
Like Autumn leaves in updraft
Wheeling and twirling.
...

Skeletal giants of power,
silently unseen in plain sight.
...

I heard a little jiggle,

a rattle at the door,
...

Poetry...
and art form.
Thus, soup!

Autumnal Assault

In golden umber attire,
soldier leaves, torn from their posts,
respond to the clarion
call of the Autumn tempest.

Pouring into the roadways,
a spiraling cavalry,
surrounding adversaries
that heedlessly pass through…

Then scattering, regrouping,
leaping and charging upward
to the high ground, preparing
for their next joyous sortie.
