How Dare You Speak

How dare you speak
in this gloomy night?
How dare you compare
the hope to light?
How can you touch
when the flames burn bright?
Why don't they hurt you,
why don't you fight?

If we could go
where would it be?
Would we run and
would we feel free?
Or would we crawl
and always look back?
With tears in our eyes
and words of regret

So i guess what's next
is just the next test,
the next big step,
and the next little rest
A journey of pain
and a journey of joy
the way called life,
the path we'll destroy

And we talk and talk
and we say, we'll move on
We will get along and
we know, we'll be strong.
But in the end, it's just words
that cover our fears
and there's one thing we know,
we better hide our tears
