Heartbroken

She stands by the ledge
ready to jump
to plummet
to her death
Her life's too hard
She is
not loved
unwanted
sad
heartbroken
lonely
alone
She is ready
Her mind goes back
to that day
when her mother stood by her side
smiling
laughing
ready for adventure
like she always was
until
her father changed it all
holding the gun he looked so serious
she didn't understand
as he pointed the gun
towards himself
her mother cried out
jumped towards him
the gunshot was deafening
as it hit her mother
in the head
and her father
slowly
picked up the gun
from the blood slowly seeping
and she saw another parent
die
now she is ready
and she falls
floating on air
until she joins them
in death
