My True Father

If you were to ask me how I was as a child,
You'd gasp regarding my plight.
For I was adopted, bewildered, and wild.
Upon knowing my Father's retreat from my life.

A lack of identity kept haunting me.
I cried to God for I felt despised.
His Spirit made me alive while on my knees.
There and then God said; My Son Arise!

My salvation has come, behold I now see,
The image of God residing in me.
With God as my Father, I now understand,
That a Father need not be a physical Man.
