The Essence Of Time

What we put off until tomorrow
Has now become today
While we make plans and set our goals
That somehow we delay.
Tomorrow will be a better day
As time is on our side
To reach the important goals ahead
That fill our souls with pride.
Each of us have just twenty four hours
To spend however we choose,
But it's the time we fritter away
That adds to the days we lose.
So plan for tomorrow if you must,
But think on it for today;
For that tomorrow that you've put off
Was started just yesterday!
