The Wall
Impenetrable,
Impervious,
The apotheosis of tenacity!
Choking,
Revolting,
Consuming,
This humongous wall
This oppressive barricade!
Nothing explains how
What we create,
What we are,
Stands as a Leviathan:
The sum of all -
The oppressor of one.
As I collide
I am shattered,
Into a million pieces I'm scattered.
And I grope in this darkness
Attempting to put my pieces together
To make one whole of a man,
One whole of a boy,
Or half of a baby.
We are naught but a reduction
Of what we are
And our existence stands meager.
But in the face of the Leviathan
I exist,
I breathe in a scathing existence,
I burn and burst:
In flame do I exist!
