Distant Distance

She wants to be a fidgety nomad
dressed up to revolve around the world
with thickly smeared lipstick to kiss the air
And worn out boots to caress the earth.
She just have a dirty backpack
with the webbed comb, oval mirror, seafarer's map
And the Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy.
She clicks this amazing photograph
of an endless desert and a thin long road
knowing she would never know the destination.
She is full of life and love
singing Hotel California with devotion.
She never hides her glee
and forget the days of chlorine.
She flirts with guys along the way
just fanciful to the guys' dismay;
but what could they do
To chain this swaying firefly?
She is full of ego
rightly so…-

OK! OK! ENOUGH! ! !
She screams inside,
suffocated by the four walls of her room,
butterfly colors greased on her palm,
the colors unreal and distant.
Sighing, she makes a forlorn face
at the society's mirror,
one of the few things she was allowed to.
