My neighbor
She is pure and true
When she walk past the women
They quietly whisper to themselves
...
Give me wine inside a clean bright glass
For I despise having to drink from brass
And if you want to dare me
Then know I have killed 200 men at least
...
The world is turned upside down
Things have just taken another turn right here in town
Beautiful ladies carry themselves like small gods
While the ugly ones seem not to be carried along
...
The man was greatly loud and clear
He made no move but look and stare
We're not just moved by what we hear
We are moved mostly by what we care
...
I know what you know
The arrows from foes
The piercing of the toes
Yes, I know

My Neighbour
My neighbor
She is pure and true
When she walk past the women
They quietly whisper to themselves
And give rapturous laughter behind her
They would criticize her, head to toe
When she walk past the men
She is hardly noticed
More or less like air
They would keep talking like they were
Not even blinking
I am pure and true
So she told me, and even then
I believed her
Always noticed by women
Never by men
Mocked by kids
Pitied by me
She is poor
Quite poor in looks
But I noticed her
Because she is rather rich
Very rich in character
She is indeed pure and true
No wonder I noticed her
Real men notice character
