She starts gently tapping on the floor and then romps,
With one hand spread and other near to chest, she stomps;
Stage light follows her as she glissades below,
...
They in a rhythm cling and see,
Thousand times the shore and the sea;
...
Sea turns pale, it riles and gives a loud rale;
It is rising, opening its mouth as a monstrous whale.
This thousand headed serpent does empoison!
...
Remembering the taste of salt with bilimbi so juicy,
we shake the tree and in a swift their fall is sluicy;
I eagerly roam in the backyard with my brother,
...
Milk as a cascade, over the golden idol, anoints,
Worries get washed away in the same way it aroints;
Rosewater showers over the God as libation,
Diluting all the woes it guides me to liberation
...
My kid with a doll slowly twiddles
Matching to a song from piano she diddles
She taps her little feet and turns around
...
Reeds and weeds in my way as a meddle,
I look blotted in a nasty middle;
In the shrill of gate I use to arouse
...
She stands in the court room with face pooped,
Due to shame or fear her head is stooped;
Her dry eyes point to a guy and glower,
...
Diwali diyas winkle at the crowd that strew,
Rockets march to the sky and stars they spew;
Fountains burst as volcanoes in the night,
...
As a blind beast it trumpets and trots, this is must!
It quakes the head deadly and the deity is stamped to the dust
The mahout, the one who showed the way and nurtured
...
Munch on the banana chips and jaggery snack,
As the wait goes on, gingery and sweet smack;
They come in a haste with palm leaf baskets,
...
Splaying up the tardy fins, darting off the daring waves,
All above the waterfalls, I jump with a mighty crave;
Struggle for the olden stream, striving for its lusty snuggle,
...
Before the supple clouds bubbled down the ichor
And as cats and dogs, I think you say, now they pour;
...
Ballet Dancer
She starts gently tapping on the floor and then romps,
With one hand spread and other near to chest, she stomps;
Stage light follows her as she glissades below,
As a shooting star which leaves behind the glow;
Her skirt appears to be a turning disc as she twirls and capers,
And when she pauses to resume, as a sugar heap it tapers;
As a pappus, she for a while rises and floats in the air,
Alights too as slowly as the same, oh what a flair!
She with her toe so elegantly executes pirouette,
Only other which will do this is a spin top and her silhouette!
The entrechats surprise me and are enchanting,
As I count the leg crosses, eyes seem scanting
In that step, as butterfly wings, her legs flutter
I am here stupefied with no word to utter
As the prettiest angel that I can ween,
As the nearest iceberg that I have seen;
Sometimes she flies, sometimes she glides
Giving reasons for her, in my mind, to abide...
