A Test Of Time

An illusion of the past, the life led by the blind
Forgetting your judgement, and all that’s left behind
Time ticks away, closer comes the time of death
As you move backwards and cast your last breath

A call to the sick, your grief clouded by your pain
Yet all the emotions that still remain the same
Count down from death, a moment carved into time
When your soul was free, your life followed the rhyme

Life led by torment, the darkness that creeps by
While you stand alone, watch the mirrors reflection cry
You cut into the moment to make the present feel alive
The past doesnt matter, you fed on the pain to survive

Anxiety attacks, the feeling that overwhelms the mind
The thumping heart and the memories you left behind
The sweat on your brow, the tightened chest that beats through
The stained mind that chorodes, the sillhouette that is you

Life is an object, something thats defined by your fate
A test of time, a soul thats been left too late
Still fake a smile, get on with your life
One day you'll rest, and not rely on the knife
