It pulls me in
With a strong hold on me
I scream in a silent whisper
Desperately trying to break free

I open my weary eyes, staring into the darkness
Enveloping me like a blanket, wrapped tightly
In, out, in, out, my breath echoes in the air
This frightening silence is too much for me to bear
...

The thunder cackles
Taking control on this gloomy night
The sky darkens
Lights out
...

I look in the mirror, she stares back at me
Dark innocent eyes, deep as the ocean
Her hair falling on her shoulders, thin as straw
Her arms mere bones, clacking as they reach her side
