My Idols


I need to be out of my mind,
To write a good rhyme.
High on life and its crazy design.

I need to be different,
Special and gifted.
Free to explore,
My lyrical convictions.

I need to be crazy,
Like Poe with his ravens.
Tossing and turning,
Depressed with no feeling.

I need to be earless,
Loveless and fearless.
A mad insane person,
With a hint of genius.

I need a theme,
So I can rhyme for a reason.
Focus on truth,
Or possibly my own demons.
