You don't see my eyes
Fill with tears
You don't see my mind aging
Like its been years.
...
I've given you so many chances,
And you've only let me down.
I've tried to show a smile,
But it's replaced with a frown.
...
Lying on the cold cement
Red surrounding me
Spots in front of my eyes
I think
...
How's that oblivious world you live in?
Is it any fun?
Are there other people?
Or are you the only one?
...
When I see your name
Light up on my screen
I think of ignoring you
But that'd be too mean.
...
Do you really care?
I'm not sure you do.
Do you care about me,
As much as I care about you?
...
Everyone says goodnight
I don't have the nerve
To point out that
It's not good.
...
Into my life,
You are interfering,
And I wanna run
I am disappearing.
...
This depression
From my secret obsession
Because my mind is always
Hooked on you.
...
I got the little bottle
With the magic little pill
I can't wait for the moment
To be fufilled.
...
You're trying to hide it
But I can see
The pain inside of you
And it's pulling at me
...
I close my eyes
And let down my gaurd.
Just like before,
It comes; hits me hard.
...
The pain I can control
The pain that makes me whole
The pain that stops and brings some tears
The pain that erases all my fears
...
What You Don'T See
You don't see my eyes
Fill with tears
You don't see my mind aging
Like its been years.
You don't see my arms
Wrapped around my chest
Holding myself together
Forgetting all the rest.
You don't see the ache in my head
The pain in my heart
The sorrow in my life
And that's just the start.
I liked your poem ' chances ' Though I would have LOVED it if it had a more even flow
Nyl Revol, Thank you for your comment, but I never wrote a poem called ' chances ' Thanks James R Casey
