Oh moon! Remember me.

My soul rejoices while you wax,
And sheds tears of sorrow when you wane.
But these tears I cry I pay as a tax,
So you'll look favourably on me your swain.
Don't think because I weep I am ungrateful,
For you steal the sun's light to shine in the dark,
So that we down below can remain hopeful,
And dream sweet dreams in night's cerulean ark.
While I love you, you cannot hold me.
