A New Life - Poem by Maegan Hazeltine

So many ways of looking for a new way to live,
Suicide upside right,

Open to this world,
Open to the pain,
Open to the memories of the past,

Awake the worlds cruel mind,
I'm awake to the worlds cruel heart,
It makes me disappear in the mind you think you can keep,
How can I,

Open up to the games,
Open up to the blame,
I'm open to this reality,
I am open to the shame,

Hold me down and tie me up,
For the only way I will leave this cruel world,
Is by death,
From my own hands,
Just to start a new life of my own.
