ASHAMED OF MY EYES

If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it from you.
It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than
to have two eyes and be cast into the fiery hell. Matthew 18: 9

I want to live and see my future
See my beautiful wife and kids
As given gifts from heaven
And be a good father
The world has never had

Before the future is here
I have already spoilt it
l now live scared as it draws near
Things I have seen, not fit

Through my eyes I admired
An innocent girl down the hallway
As thoughts shadowed my brain
Ashamed of my eyes

In my young age
My little eyes kept undisputed innocence
In my high school they wore a new image
I found pleasure in explicit content materials
Ashamed of my eyes

Yesterday I was walking along the street
I witnessed a robbery with violence
The court called for testimonies now I'm an Eyewitness

I want to live with my eyes
They have failed me no lies
I don't want to go through this anymore
Lord make them as innocent as before
