Behind Shadowed Eyes
Behind shadowed eyes a waterfall weeps
Insomnia rises from lack of sleep
A river runs into an ocean so deep
Avalanches slide down mountains so steep
Behind shadowed eyes a message is read
Interpreted singularly from what was said
Anger bubbles; could those eyes flash blood red?
Or harness emotion; pulled back securely to the head
Behind shadowed eyes a soul desperately cries
A bird caught in a storm chaotically flies
Children with scars alone helplessly die
Poisoned minds concoct the lastest black lie
Behind shadowed eyes infection resides
The identity withdraws; in terror hides
Battle rages within; one mind chooses sides
As inner and outer torn apart now divide
Behind shadowed eyes deadly secrets are lured
Stained memories reminding of previous battles endured
The bloody gashes here paining shall never be cured
Scarring a soul once innocent and pure
