Bleeding Rain - Poem by Lalitha Narayanan

The clouds of heart bleeds
the colour of their blood white
soaked with memories soft
pained by the tender breeze they part
the pregnant images haunt them badly
the piercing pain pricks them hardly
when the clouded bosom is heaving sadly
a whiff of wind shall flatten her brutally

When the friendly hills favour not love
When the dear dear sun comes not to succour
poor clouds could only weep,
their trampled heart could only sleep
Bleeding night and day, in dream and life
the dreaming clouds dearly mad
Raining funerals of lost ones loved.

Exquisite imagery and beautifully expressed, I've read this three times now and its a wonderful piece of poetry, romantic and melancholic at the same time, You have a gifted imagination and craftsmanship. I've heard of acid rain but bleeding rain sounds more painful. (Report) Reply

Lalitha, now you ought to be happy with the grand recognition for your lovely poem......the fountain of joy for the bleeding heart, blessed with the coolness of the dancing monsoon...please enjoy the celebration... (Report) Reply
