Bloodlust - Poem by Trenton Priddy

The primordial urge to kill
Lies dormant in everyone’s soul
The ravenous bloodlust inside
Waiting to take control
Yet what draws this primitive instinct
Is it anger, sorrow, or fear
Or is it just simple pleasure
Nothing can be made clear
When this instinct consumes you
You lose your mind and will
No trace of humanity left
Only the urge to kill
