I stand tall as all the misery around me floats

The words when i first heard of the sadness in my life

How can it be that she loves me with all her heart
How is it so that someone like me can hold her in my arms
An angel with pure white wings she is gliding as she moves
Yet I wear the black wings of shame and disgust
...

Never the one to fight first
Always peaceful
But i cant seem to quench this thirst
Ten on four and ready to take on the odds
...

I look you in the eye as I tell you how I feel
Standing, waiting, then the answer I was expecting comes
With a smile and words of understanding I say farewell
The smile fades, the same feelings I have felt so many time intrude
...

Always walking away Always backing down
Trying to avoid it until unavoidable
Doing as little as possible and holding back my true power
You stepped up again initiating another round
...

Fists clenched i speed past all that i see
Like a caged animal I walk back and forth eyes wild or crazed
My legs carry me to an unknown place for i think of other things
I need something to let all of this anger out before it drives me insane
...

I take everything you say every single word and just put it away
All those ugly things are stored within my chest
They do not hurt nor do they depress
Burning is all i feel from those words you use
...

I do not brag of my own accomplishments I simply answer a question
Yet everytime I do EGO is all they can say
I have never wanted to be the center of attention
But others do not believe me
...

The boy going through his day doing nothing to anyone else
The jocks see fit to give him a fright
A tight circle they form so he cannot escape
He stands his back to them ignoring their childish jests
...

Whisper as i walk by. Point and laugh at what you see

I do not care. For i choose who i will be
