Snap Poem by Draven Cestodio

Snap

I take everything you say every single word and just put it away
All those ugly things are stored within my chest
They do not hurt nor do they depress
Burning is all i feel from those words you use
Time and time again they are placed at that spot to ferment into something new
I did not understand it at the time but it was anger and hate in such a small space
There was not much i could do for it just grew and grew
Then the day came where no more could be held and you uttered that final comment that broke through my chest and poured out
You grabbed me after my own few words and then it hit me
My eyes went wild my body shook and all that was intelligent was gone
The beast was loose and there was no where to go except at you
You struck me once and only once then I lashed out blood exploded from your lip
Bruises surfaced on your back and when I stood away
You had learned something new
