Can You Sense It?

Do you hear it
the wind whispers to you
secrets from beyond the grave

Can you taste it
the bitter cold of winter
that destroys life

Do you feel it
the inky darkness of night
fueling the depression and sadness of the unknown

Do you see it
the colorless sleepless nights
that death itself left behind

Can you touch it
the intangible light that
barely escapes the darkness itself

She sensed it
and how very unfortunate
She let me sense it too
