In life and death,
Travelling amongst the pain and beauty of the world,
Listless, we walk towards a bleak infinity.
Where are we?

What is it that comes out to play,
In the darkness of the night?
Digs holes and takes the bread away,
But in the day keeps out of sight.

Some people say I am the best at swearing,
With pointy, poky emphasis, on the syllables I'm airing,
With the '..at', and the '..it' and the '..ick' and the '..uck'
Sometimes all that comes out out of my mouth is just muck....

There was a time among the dead,
A corner of some foreign field,
Where legions made and marches led,
Where Tommys lay and fates were sealed.

Why is it that my Grandma, can sew and knit and crochet too,
But cannot use the apple mac, or gadgets like grandchildren do?
It seems so complicated, to work that 'bobbin' thing,
Or get those different stitches down, or make that singer sing!

Another day, a new life.
A husband and a wife?
Breathe now, breathe... Then look... Listen.
See joyous eyes and tears glisten.

It was great to get to know you, in the short time that we knew,
I thank you for those happy days, it's a shame we had so few.
Today up there, somewhere... Wherever we all can rest in peace,
Dipper can beat the drums for us, and those drums need never cease.

There's a beastly beast that lives with me, the beast of weekday blues.
But only I have seen this beast, (well, just me and my cat Moos) .
I tremble with a noddy head, confused and scared to speak,
Why is this beast so mean to me, but only in the week!

There is a new 'door' in the little boy's house,
Where there was not one before,
A new 'ghost shaped' hole' in the kitchen,
a new 'monster sized' flap in the door.
