Equality For All

Don't you hear the shouts
Can't you tell they want to come out
Or are you to focused
To tell that they're broken

They're begging for your support
They're begging for your love
But all you're giving them
Is something to be deprived of

Can't you see the blood
Or the scars
How about the pills
Hiding only takes you so far

The Pistol is loaded
The Pill bottle is open
The hate has been spoken

All this pain
And all the shame
Just based on who they kiss
All they want is to dismiss

And go on with their life
Now they brought in the knife

Poem of the Day

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —
Who'd toil'd, and seen no holiday,
For forty years from dawn to dark —
Alone beside Caermarthen Bay.
