Fashionably Late Bloomer
Sometimes I wonder why I'm here,
Here with this beer cup appendage
And it's hard to think clear with shouting beats,
Heat dripping in my brain and insane fear and pain
Find their way into eyes
But I'm not here
I'll admit that I despise the way I lie so easily
Call the presses, party dresses don't house my awkward shell
To hell if I know why
But I try to imagine being invited rather than slighted
And sometimes I wonder why I'm here
