Temptation Of Theft Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Temptation Of Theft

Sometimes someone tries to divert other's prosperity and heritage,
sometimes someone tries to demolish other's blessings of legacies;

sometimes someone tries to discredit other's fame and fortune,
sometimes someone tries to compete with other's esteem and status, ;

sometimes someone tries to destroy other's honor and dignity,
sometimes someone tries to spoil someone's reputation and integrity;

sometimes someone tries to steal other's properties and treasures,
sometimes someone does not accept their own poverty as their misfortune;

sometimes someone tries to overtake other's diligence,
sometimes someone tries to outsmart the other's prudence;

sometimes someone builds dreams at the cost of fantasies and illusions,
sometimes someone tries to flourish by blunders and absurdities;

sometimes someone tries to be a bandit and confiscates others bequests,
sometimes someone tries to rob others and become a millionaire;

sometimes someone thinks they will fool the wise and precise,
sometimes someone thinks others are unintelligent and fragile;

sometimes someone focuses to get others deceived,
sometimes someone never ever gets swindled or cheated;

sometimes someone selects to defame others to coerce them,
sometimes someone acts innocent when they are so immoral and corrupt;

sometimes someone organizes efforts to wreck other's peace and gracefulness,
sometimes someone never realizes crimes and sins
have their own penalties and paybacks;

sometimes someone never reflects jealousy and greed are so useless,
sometimes someone never perceives all that what is pre-written by destiny no one can divest.
